How do I water Ficus elastica?
Water your Ficus elastica with lukewarm water according to the season. During the late spring to summer (growing season), this plant should be kept moist and watered almost daily for optimal growth. Be sure to wipe down its foliage with a damp cloth or mist with a spray bottle. During the winter, Rubber Ficus plants may only need water once or twice a month. Droopy leaves indicate a need for more water, and yellow-brown leaves indicate that it's been over watered.
How do I re-pot a Rubber Tree plant?
Ficus Rubber trees should be re-potted to ensure continued growth. A good rule of thumb is to transplant your plant into a pot that's an inch or two bigger in diameter. Be sure to well-draining soil to prevent root rot. Happy Frog soil is a great choice for Ficus elastica. If you’re using a pot without drainage holes, place a layer of small rocks in the bottom to aid in drainage.
