Garden Goods Guarantee
As with all living things, death is possible. It is nearly impossible to achieve a 100% survival rate. If you have properly cared for your newly purchased plants and you experience a loss during the first year from date of receipt, send an email to email@example.com detailing your loss as well as your original order number. Garden Goods Direct will replace any plant that dies during the first year upon payment of 50% of the current selling price plus normal shipping and handling as posted on our web site. This is limited to a one-time replacement. Garden Goods Direct reserves the right to request a photo of the plant and its surroundings for evaluation. In the event that the plants were planted in an environment that is not conducive to that plant’s health, i.e., poor soil conditions, wrong light conditions or outside of plants listed hardiness zone our guarantee is null and void. We do not refund money, but we will gladly replace the plant(s) per our guarantee if all warranty conditions are met. All warranty claims must be received within one year from the date of delivery of your plants to the address specified on the order. Claims received by Garden Goods Direct after one year of delivery shall not be recognized. Product replacement will only be sent to the original shipping address. Claims will not be accepted if the shipping address is different than the original shipping address. If the plant is currently out of stock, we will gladly offer a substitute, 50% of the plant(s) value in store credit or you may wait until the next crop is available. You will be responsible for payment as set forth above. Any destruction of plants resulting from weather, pets, wildlife, drought, improper application of insecticides or herbicides, fires, floods, or any unnatural cause, etc. are not covered by this guarantee. Our guarantee does not cover plants that are planted in a Zone(s) not recommended for the plant. Zones are posted on each product page. This warranty will not cover Houseplants and tropical plants not located in an environment or location that will provide the optimal growing condition for the plant. In the event of multiple claims or excessive losses, we may require a soil test to determine soil compatibility problems.
We are very careful to label varieties true to name, and we will replace the product if we have sent the incorrect plant. We will not refund the purchase price of the plant, but we will replace the plant at our expense. Customer acknowledges that they understand the plant type they are purchasing as posted on each product page at www.gardengoodsdirect.com. Garden Goods Direct will not replace or refund any items where the customer purchased the “wrong plant”. In the unlikely event that your order arrives missing an item please contacts Garden Goods Direct within 48 hours of receipt. All we ask for is a picture of the items received including the packing slip and we will reship. We don’t offer refunds, but if the missing item is out of stock customer may substitute for an item of comparable value.
Canceling An Order
Requests for cancellation must be made by email to our customer service email at firstname.lastname@example.org prior to shipment. Orders cancelled prior to shipment will be charged the greater of a $10.00 cancellation fee or 10% of the purchase price. Large orders and/or freight shipped orders may incur a higher cancellation fee. Orders CANNOT be cancelled after the order is shipped. If cancellation is requested after an order has shipped you will be required to ship the items back to us in the original packaging at your expense. If products are received back at our location in living and/or undamaged condition you will be refunded 90% or the cost of the material. Shipping charges are non-refundable,
All sales are final. In the event that a shipment is refused, Garden Goods Direct. may, in its sole and absolute discretion, accept the returned merchandise, provided, that the same is in “like-new condition,” and is saleable. We do not refund or pay shipping costs to customers to return their plants to us. In the event that garden Goods Direct accepts returned merchandise, it will assess a restocking fee equal to 10% of the purchase price for the order, together with all shipping charges. Garden Goods Direct shall not, in any event, be required to grant a credit for merchandise returned to us if such merchandise is not, in the sole and absolute discretion of Garden Goods Direct re-saleable. Since plants are perishable, no returns will be accepted past two weeks from delivery or on material that has been planted.
Growth rates that are listed on our web site are estimates based upon historical data and assume optimum growing conditions. Growing plants require a suitable site, compatible environment, and care to prosper, and these are conditions beyond our control. Customer agrees, by accepting these terms and conditions, which the images used on www.gardengoodsdirect.com product pages, are representative of what the product they purchased will look like when it reaches the age of maturity, and is not what they will be receiving with their order. Plants are shown in decorative containers for display purposes only. All plants are shipped in black plastic nursery containers unless otherwise specified.
Dormant Plant Material
Garden Goods Direct will send out viable dormant plant materials early in the spring or late in the fall and winter seasons. The plants are 100% healthy but may exhibit dormancy. Dormancy can include browning of the leafy materials or the plant may not have any leaves at all. All of this is very normal for a plant either moving into dormancy or if the plant is dormant.

GARDEN GOODS DIRECT SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL SUCH WARRANTIES. THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE CONSTITUTE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES AVAILABLE TO YOU. GARDEN GOODS DIRECT SHALL NOT, IN ANY EVENT, BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN AN AMOUNT GREATER THAN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF ANY PLANT.
