As a member of the hybrid Sombrero Series, the Sangrita has impressive drought tolerant tendencies and enjoys conditions of full sun. These hardy herbaceous perennials grow best in well-drained soil but are tolerant of a wide range of conditions. We recommend pruning spent blooms for optimal growth.
Although this plant looks amazing in a mixed garden, it is bold enough to stand on its own in a container garden. One of the reasons this hybrid coneflower is so beloved is that it is tolerant of a very wide range of soils. Ideally it should be planted in rich, well-draining soil.
