Each year, the renowned leading source of color expertise, Pantone, gathers its elite team to carefully select one color that will set the tone for the year. This year, for the 25th anniversary of this color selection, Pantone announced Peach Fuzz as the 2024 Color of The Year.

In an interview with the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute,™ Leatrice Eiseman, she explains the reasoning behind this year’s selection.

“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion offers a tactile embrace and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless,” Eiseman said.

With a tone that relaxes, as much as it does warm the soul, we couldn’t have chosen a better color ourselves!

Shrubs To Incorporate Peach Fuzz

Once you’ve got your trees covered, you can move on to finding shrubs that encompass the enriching velvety tones of Peach Fuzz!

First on our list of peach-colored shrubs is the Peach Drift Rose. We love all members of the Drift Rose family, but the Peach certainly has a special place in our hearts. This cold-hardy rose bush produces the sweetest, softest pink blossoms with warm golden centers. This shrub is ideal for a range of yard projects, including yard borders, foundation plantings, and framing doorways!

Next on the list of peachy shrubs to love is the Glowing Hearts Pieris. New to the plant world in 2022, this shrub highlights all the elements we look for most in a plant: evergreen foliage, gorgeous color changes throughout the seasons, and a plethora of spring blooms! You can look forward to the ombre of peach to scarlet tones as this shrub transitions from its green summer tones to oranges and reds!

Last on the list of shrubs to incorporate Peach Fuzz into your landscape is another one of our rosy favorites: the Apricot Drift Rose. You can look forward to a mass of peach-colored blooms multiple times a year with this disease-resistant, hardy-to-the-elements rose bush!
