How Often Should I Water My Dancy Tangerine Tree?
Dancy trees love to have moist soil and require a frequent watering schedule. These citrus trees prefer water once a week to ensure their soil has the most moisture possible. If you live in a hot climate you might need to water them more often. However, if your tree is living inside, you can get away with watering only once a week. If you notice your tree seems to be lagging, cut back on the watering. When potted, we recommend watering your tree until water runs out of the drainage holes, then you know it has been watered thoroughly. Be sure not to overwater your plant, this could cause root rot disease and damage your tree's growth.
How Much Sunlight Does My Tangerine Tree Require?
If your tree is living as an indoor/outdoor plant, place them on a patio display. Doing so will allow them to live outdoors when possible and make them easy to transport indoors when needed. When your plant is inside make sure you place them near a window that as much sunlight as possible. If your tree is outdoors, it is vital to plant it in a place where it will receive the most sunlight. It can tolerate some partial sun or partial shade but will produce the most in an area that will receive at least 8 hours of sun a day.
What Soil Should I Use for My Dancy Tangerine Tree?
Dancy Tangerine trees are extremely adaptable when it comes to soil type. They are not particular to soil pH and are only particular about having well-draining soil. This tree does very well in heat and humidity and requires a good drainage system and should never be overwatered. Overwatering your soil will cause the tree's roots to sit in standing water and cause root disease. If you do not have well-draining soil in your garden, try planting the tree in a raised bed at least 12 to 18 inches about the soil line.
What Type of Fertilizer Should I Use with Dancy Tangerine?
