The Bamboo Palm or Chamaedorea seifrizii is a large house plant loved by many for its ability to clean the air in a home efficiently. They are an excellent choice for adding a tropical feel to a low-light area in your room or office. Bamboo Palm's attractive appearance is sure to be a conversation starter. Its dark green leaves fan at the stem and can reach 3 to 6 feet in indirect sunlight. This tropical plant grows well indoors with bright, indirect light. Once your Bamboo Palm reaches the desired height, move it to shade or low light conditions to begin the acclimation process.

While you can grow this outdoors, we recommend bringing it inside during the colder months. Due to this plant's tropical nature, it enjoys rainwater but is sensitive to excess fertilizer salts. Avoid constant watering of Bamboo Palm, which can lead to root rot and damage the plant. Although this house plant is fairly pest-free, you will see an occasional spider mite.
