Pearls and Jade Pothos for Sale Online

The Pearls and Jade Pothos has showy, variegated leaves that will leave all your houseguests speechless! Combine that with the easy-to-care-for nature of this plant, and even the most novice of houseplant enthusiasts will be begging for one.

As a member of the Pothos family, this Epipremnum aureum holds all of the qualities you love about the classic Golden and Marble Queen Pothos, but with some fun new twists! The Pothos Pearls and Jade differs from the Golden and Marble Queen varieties in their ruffled leaf structure and unique variegation. The P&J also is unique in that the white and green leaves are a bit smaller than that of the typical Pothos.

Much like the other Pothos varieties, the Pearls and Jade plant care is extremely easy. These tropical plants will tolerate a wide range of light conditions and can handle the brunt of both a lack of water and an excess of water.

The recommended care practices for these tough plants include giving your plant a bright indirect light and potting in a well-draining potting mix. Additionally, we recommend planting your Pothos plant in a pot with drainage holes to protect against the chance of root rot.

The Pearls and Jade Pothos bring fun new textures and shapes that your typical trailing houseplant does not. Perfect for a tall shelf or hanging planter, these houseplants will add a new sense of originality and style to your space!

Be sure to read our planting instructions to ensure a healthy and happy plant for years to come!

What is the best light for Pearls and Jade Pothos?

What is the best light for Pearls and Jade Pothos?

Pearls and Jade Pothos performs well in fluorescent light like office buildings or atriums or anywhere away from direct light. They can handle the bright, indirect light found in a northern or partially shaded eastern windowsill. Western or southern exposure would work as long as the plant is away from the window or the window is well shaded.

What is the best soil for Pearls and Jade Pothos?

What is the best soil for Pearls and Jade Pothos?

Pearls and Jade Pothos does best in soil that stays slightly moist. Regular potting mix works well, try to keep the soil from drying out too much that it compacts, as it can be difficult to rehydrate. Marble Queen Pothos also does well if grown exclusively in water without soil.

How do I water Pearls and Jade Pothos?

How do I water Pearls and Jade Pothos?

Pearls and Jade Pothos likes to stay slightly moist, not too wet or too dry. Too many yellow leaves means the plant is staying wet too often, whereas brown tips to the leaves means it has been kept too dry. They recover well from drying out occasionally. It generally takes a long time, but Pothos will wilt if not watered enough, making it clear when the plant absolutely needs water. Wilting can also be caused by the plant staying too wet; check the soil condition before watering excessively.

How do I fertilize Pearls and Jade Pothos?

How do I fertilize Pearls and Jade Pothos?

In general, Pearls and Jade Pothos does not require much fertilizer. Fertilizer is recommended only for plants potted in the same container for a long time to provide nutrients for new growth. Any all purpose, fertilizer will work for Marble Queen Pothos. Indoor houseplant fertilizers fall into two groups: water soluble, liquid quick release, and granular, slow release fertilizers. Jack's Classic Indoor plant food works well as a powder, quick release fertilizer that is mixed with water to quickly provide nutrients to a plant that has been in a container for an extended time. Osmocote Indoor/Outdoor is an option as a granular, slow release fertilizer that can be applied while potting and planting. Any type of fertilizer offers nutrients that help plants with the transition to a new environment.
