How to Care for Page Mandarin Tree
Be sure to read our planting instructions to ensure a healthy and happy plant for years to come!
How Much Sunlight Should My Page Mandarin Tree Get?
Page Mandarin Orange Trees require 8 to 12 hours of full sunlight daily. We recommend positioning your plants beside a south-facing window with good airflow. If necessary, supplement sun with a grow light during dark, cool winter months.
How Often Should I water My Page Mandarin?
Page Mandarin Trees grown in containers need more water than those planted outside. In the spring, water 2 to 3 times a week to ensure the best health of your tree. In the summer, as temperatures rise, your citrus tree may need to be watered daily. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. Soggy soil could indicate there is too much standing water in your soil and could be causing damage to the tree's roots. A good indication of when you should water is to check the top 2 to 3 inches of soil. If it is dry to the touch, your tree needs to be watered. Remember to mist your tree if it is inside. Doing so will mimic the same effect that humidity has on them outdoors.
What Soil Condition is Best For My Page Mandarin Tree?
When it comes to your Page Mandarin Orange Trees, Espoma Cactus Mix is the perfect growing medium. It provides adequate drainage and an optimal base for your Page Mandarin Trees to grow beautifully and produce the most fruit as they can.
What Type of Fertilizer Should I Use with My Page Mandarin?
We recommend feeding your Page Mandarin Orange Trees with Espoma Citrus-tone. Feed your tree by sprinkling one teaspoon of fertilizer on the soil surface for every 4 inches of pot diameter. Be sure to mix the fertilizer into the top layer of soil by using a fork to gently stir the fertilizer. With frequent watering of potted plants, nutrients may be lost and more frequent application may be required. In the late winter and fall, feed your tree every 60 days.
