Frequently Asked questions
How Fast Does Miscanthus Bandwidth Grass Grow?
Miscanthus grasses typically grow slow when they are young; however, they will reach their maximum height within a few years. However, Miscanthus Bandwidth is a dwarf cultivar of this species and may grow to its full height and width a bit faster. Most Miscanthus grass grows between 3 and 8 feet tall, whereas Bandwidth will only grow between 2 and a half to 3 feet tall and wide. Some Miscanthus can be invasive, but Miscanthus Bandwidth is not an invasive cultivar of this species.
Is Miscanthus Bandwidth Resistant to Rust?
This ornamental grass is resistant to quite a few of nature's pests. Miscanthus Bandwidth is drought-tolerant once it has been established and is rust-resistant. Rust is a disease that affects plants in wet, humid conditions. It produces raised pustules that rupture to release powdery orange-red spores on the underside of your plant's leaves. However, because Bandwidth is tolerant of this disease, odds are your plant will never experience this issue.
Should I Winterize my Plant?
Miscanthus grasses are hardy plants as is, and do not need much winterization to stay healthy throughout their dormancy season in winter. In fact, overwatering your plant before winter could weaken your plant or even cause death.
