The Snow Star Beautyberry (Callicarpa) is a showy decorative shrub known for the dense clusters of pearl-colored berries it produces along the woody branches. After the berries arrive in the summer, the leaves drop off in the fall leaving the berry clusters to shine all alone all winter long.
For best results, plant in full sun; although it can survive in partial shade. Similarly, while moist, well-draining soils are best, the Snow Star Beautyberry is drought tolerant. Overall, this one-of-a-kind shrub is durable and low maintenance.
