Allegheny Serviceberry Trees for Sale Online

Allegheny Serviceberry or Amelanchier Shadbush is covered in white flowers each Spring, which turn into edible berries in June, giving it its common name of Juneberry or Shadblow. The Finely-toothed, oval-like leaves start with bronze-purple in the Spring, maturing to a lovely green and finishing in a reddish-orange in the Fall. Its upright, perfectly oval shape adds height to small gardens and provides excellent structure during winter.

This North American Native tree grows equally well in partial shade or full sun in average or moist soil. The berries are a favorite and nourishing food source for many birds. The Native peoples dried these small fruits, like prunes or raisins, or mashed them and formed them into cakes for consumption during the winter.
