As we approach the end of 2025, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the growth we’ve achieved, both personally and collectively, thanks to the dedication of our gardeners (yes, we’re talking about you!).

In this installment of Woodie’s Picks, we want to highlight the key impacts we believe we’ve made as a company and share with you which plants were added to the cart the most! Perhaps you can use this as a guideline for your dream garden plans in 2026.

The Large Impact of Our Small Garden Business

With your help, we achieved a great deal of growth this year. Over 450,000 happy customers, and enough plants to make a real impact on the planet we call home. Below are just a few highlights of the effects our plants have had on ecosystems across the US.

The Impact of Our Trees

With enough trees planted to cover approximately 25 football fields in dense forest canopy, we were able to create vital habitats, improve air quality, and contribute to the fight against climate change. This year alone, our trees likely absorbed nearly 168,787 pounds of CO₂, and as those newly planted trees mature, their environmental benefits will only increase.

The Impact of Our Shrubs

Trees aren’t the only species that make for a healthier ecosystem…shrubs make a huge difference too! The amount of shrubs we planted in 2025 was enough to wrap around the Earth nearly twice, forming a green belt that supports wildlife, reduces erosion, and stabilizes soil.

The Impact of Our Perennials

The number of beautiful flowering perennial plants we sold was sufficient to provide abundant blooms that support over hundreds of thousands of pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds—essential for healthy ecosystems and food production.

The Impact of Our Houseplants

Indoor greenery does so much more than beautify a space. Houseplants have been statistically proven to purify the air, improve mood, and increase productivity! This year, we sold enough houseplants to cover half a basketball court, bringing nature’s calm and clean air to anyone who gathers there.

Emerald Petite Arborvitae

Our Best Selling Garden Plants In 2025

Emerald Petite Arborvitae

As the only dwarf arborvitae of its kind, it’s no wonder that the Emerald Petite Arborvitae was such a customer favorite this year. Its most endearing quality is probably its small form; this miniature evergreen reaches maturity at 5-6 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. Beyond its compact form, perfect for yards with limited space for landscaping, the Emerald Petite is praised for its low-maintenance nature, year-round appeal, and tough and adaptable qualities. These trees are small but mighty, offering drought resistance once established.

American Pillar Arborvitae

American Pillar Arborvitae

Next on our list of fan-favorites for the landscape is another evergreen all-star. The American Pillar Arborvitae is a superior and budget-friendly option for creating an evergreen privacy screen. These lush trees are praised for their fast-growing nature, ultra-narrow form, and year-round color they provide to a property. Growing at a rate of 3-4 feet per year, the American Pillar can quickly create a dense barrier to distinguish property lines, instill privacy, and protect a home against harsh winds and outside noises.

Vinca Minor

Vinca Minor

This plant might have minor in its name, but don’t let that fool you regarding the major impact it can have on a garden’s appearance. Vinca minor is a tough evergreen groundcover perfect for filling shady areas of the landscape. The popular perennial plant naturally forms dense mats, effectively choking out weeds and preventing soil erosion. Vinca Minor also sprouts unique purple blooms in spring, with some sporadic blooming throughout the seasons as well, to bring a fun pop of color to a home’s exterior!

Phenomenal Lavender

Phenomenal Lavender

Last but not least on our list of customer favorites for the 2025 garden is Phenomenal Lavender. With an intoxicating fragrance that can’t be ignored, along with icy green foliage and bold purple blooms, there’s really nothing this hardy perennial can’t do! Unlike some other lavender varieties, Phenomenal stands out for its superior hardiness to the elements. This variety is known for its tolerance to high heat, dense humidity, and harsh winters in zones 3-9. As a bonus, Phenomenal Lavender’s scent deters common garden pests like deer and rabbits, thus serving as a guardian to your precious garden!
