Sedum Autumn Joy Plants for Sale Online
Sedum Autumn Joy produces sizeable flower heads composed of tiny clustered blossoms that appear in late summer and remain through fall above the plant's succulent foliage. It is a reliable and hardy shrub with a significantly long bloom time.
These easy-to-grow plants are significant garden additions in that they provide color and interest from early spring through to early fall. The Sedum Autumn's warm pink flowers that change to deeper brick-red before frost bring a new meaning to the word beautiful, and the hardy shrub's dark green leaves readily complement its blooms.
Ideal care conditions for these flowering perennials include full sun, a well-drained soil, and infrequent watering. However, these plants are extremely tolerant to a wide variety of conditions and will tolerate partial sun and somewhat poor soil mediums.
Autumn Joy Stonecrop is useful in the border, rock garden, or filler in that odd spot where nothing seems to grow. Mix with Stella De Oro daylilies and ornamental grasses for an extended color show. Plants are long-lived and can grow into huge clumps that can be divided to increase your perennial beds. Let the dried flower heads stay on the plant to provide winter interest, or cut them off and use them in dried flower arrangements.
