Endless Summer Pop Star Hydrangea Shrubs for Sale Online

Brand new to the garden world in 2022, and making its debut in the landscape in the spring of 2023, the Endless Summer® Pop Star® Hydrangea is no doubt going to be the star of the show this planting season.

This new strain of Endless Summer Hydrangea has been called a "breeding breakthrough" in the horticultural network. Boasting vibrant blue to pink blooms atop upright stems and dark green leaves, this Hydrangea Macrophylla is an absolutely stunning addition to the landscape.

Reblooming 2-4 weeks sooner than similar hydrangea varieties, the Pop Star will not disappoint. The prolific rebloomer is genetically compact, not to mention its impressive cold hardiness and tight strong habit.

The Pop Star Hydrangea is an extremely easy-to-grow Bigleaf Hydrangea and enjoys conditions of full sun to part shade. Apply a slow-release fertilizer to your Hydrangea shrubs once in the summer prior to August for best results.

Like manyBigleaf Hydrangeas, this Endless Summer Cultiva can change color based on the acidity of the soil. If you are looking to grow vibrant pink blooms, you will want to add lime to the soil to raise the pH. If you want blue flowers, sulfur can be added to the soil to lower the pH.

Be sure to read our planting instructions to ensure a healthy and happy plant for years to come!

How should I plant my Endless Summer Hydrangea?

How should I plant my Endless Summer Hydrangea?

Plant your Bloom Struck Hydrangea in a hole that is twice as wide as the root system, but no deeper. Cover with well-draining soil and give your plant a good watering. These resilient plants can survive in clay or sandy soil, given that they receive plenty of water. To get a head start on these beautiful plants, opt for the 3-gallon pot for your garden. For gardeners in zone 5, plant your hydrangea where it can be sheltered and protected during the winter months.

How should I water my Pop Star Hydrangea shrubs?

How should I water my Pop Star Hydrangea shrubs?

As mentioned, Endless Summer Hydrangeas love moist soil so be sure to water your shrub at least weekly to maintain this. During the first season, it is best to water it more often in order to support an extensive root system that will encourage the hydrangea’s well being.

How do I fertilize an Endless Summer Pop Star Hydrangea shrub?

How do I fertilize an Endless Summer Pop Star Hydrangea shrub?

To encourage blooms, use a fertilizer that is high in phosphorus such as Jack’s Classic Blossom Booster. An organic alternative would be as compost or manure. Homemade compost is easy to make and fantastic at giving your plants the nutrients it needs.

What type of mulch should I use for my Pop Star Hydrangea?

What type of mulch should I use for my Pop Star Hydrangea?

Before winter begins, it is important to protect the roots from the harsh climate. I propose an organic material such as straw or mulched leaves for preservation. When spring comes, surround your hydrangea with ground hardwood or cypress hardwood mulch to retain moisture. Be sure to leave a small gap between the stem and the mulch to prevent rot.
