Celosia Dracula

Dracula Celosia plants thrive in sunny gardens that receive at least 6 hours of sunlight each day. Even though they can survive in part sun, these plants do their best when given full sun. However, be sure these plants get some shaded time during midday. Doing so will help ensure your plant's leaves and flowers do not burn.

To ensure your Dracula Celosia stays healthy and full of nutrients, we recommend that you feed them every ten days in the summer. Any liquid fertilizer that is diluted slightly will work perfectly. Doing so will ensure your plant's flowers will bloom to their best potential. Avoid fertilizing in the fall and winter to minimize the risk of plant damage. Your plant goes dormant during these seasons and does not require any fertilizer because its growing period has stopped for the year. Fertilizing at this time would be considered overfertilizing.

Dracula Celosia requires rich, well-draining soil. It is not particular to a specific pH and can tolerate urban-polluted locations. The well-draining soil conditions will help avoid any possibility of root rot, a disease this plant is susceptible to. However, this plant does require its soil to be moist at all times. It is a tricky but important balance for your plant to get enough water and have its soil be moist without overwatering at the same time.
