Dr. Alexander Fleming Peonies (paeonia lactiflora) are double flowered perennials that thrive in gardens that receive full sun and moist, well-drained soil.
While peonies notoriously have short bloom cycles, the number of side buds on the Dr. Alexander Fleming Peony extends the blooming season for up to 6 weeks from late spring through early summer. It should be known, however, that peonies often do not flower in the first season after planting so it is best to plant them in fall so they can establish and bloom the following spring.
