How much water does Juncus Big Twister Need?

Big Twister Juncus, when planted outside, are often used around ponds or other water elements for their tolerance in wetter soils. They can also tolerate some dry spells but only after they are well established. When planted indoors, make sure the soil has adequate drainage so that they do not sit in water all of the time. We recommend watering them thoroughly, until water come out of the bottom (remove the excess that drained), and then waiting until the top of the soil has become dry to the touch. We do not recommend that you let the soil dry out completely, it can be difficult to re-saturate the soil successfully.

Do I need to fertilize my Juncus Big Twister?

Do I need to fertilize my Juncus Big Twister?

Juncus Big Twister plants are very adaptable, especially once they are well established. An even fertilizer will benefit your rush plants once or twice a year if planted outside, but if they are planted inside a fertilizer will be even more helpful. Indoor plants do not have access to the same nutrient resources as outdoor plants in the ground do, so they need to be fed nutrients in order to compensate. For smaller plants, it is sometimes best to dilute your fertilizer to half strength so that you do not overwhelm the delicate root structure.
