Lemon Thyme Plants for Sale

Our favorite herb of all "thyme," lemon thyme, is an easy plant to grow in the garden and use in the kitchen. Very easy to grow. Use Lemon thyme in any recipe that calls for lemon. Lemon thyme grows vigorously, so there's no need to worry about over-harvesting. If you cannot use them fast enough, trim the plants back to keep them neat and compact. The glossy green lemon-scented foliage is easily sheared into a low hedge if you want to create a knot garden—evergreen in zones 8 and 9.

Lemon Thyme can be grown in large pots with other herbs right outside of the kitchen for easy harvesting whenever you need it. Lemon thyme is also good for repelling mosquitos and other insects. Just crush a few leaves and rub them on your skin.

Lemon Thyme can grow up to 12 to 15 inches. Thyme is extremely tolerant of poor soil and drought conditions. It is also deer resistant and has no major insect or disease problems. Growing lemon thyme is as simple as planting in full sun in well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering or planting in wet soil, as it can be prone to root rot.
